Prayers Wanted

Hey y'all. I have so many emotions running through me as I sit down to write this. Today has been a super busy day; our room has basically been a revolving door of people coming in and out to get things squared away for tomorrow. TOMORROW; the day I've been looking forward to since I found out I was pregnant...the day I finally get to bring my baby home (yep, I said it). I can't believe it's here; sometimes I can't even believe Ethan is still here. But he is, and I am so, so blessed.

Would you guys say some special prayers for me tonight? I'm feeling, what I assume, are normal "new parent" anxieties, which are heightened even more so due to Ethan's special care needs. I feel prepared/educated, now I just need to gain the confidence to know that we can do this! I'm also feeling a little scared of what could happen. Never, ever do I want a repeat of what we experienced a few weeks ago, and I need to believe that the precautions we've taken (the Nissen) will hopefully keep that from happening again. Pray that I would be able to separate unnecessary fear and worry from true parental instinct and concern. Pray that I would be able to enjoy this precious gift and not worry away the next few months as we adjust to our new life. For those of you who know me, you probably know that I worry constantly, so you really know how much I need these prayers right now!!! :) And if you didn't know that about me before, now you do, so pray hard!! Overall, I'm just so stinkin' excited.

"I'm so excited...I'm so excited...I'm sooo, soo, scared"
(Who can name that TV show/episode?!)

Anyway, Ethan is currently testing out his car seat. I'll take the fact that he's sound asleep as a sign that he doesn't hate it! I love seeing him in it; I cry just thinking about it! I'm sure I'll be a blubbering mess pretty much all day tomorrow, but I'll try to give you guys an update when I can.

We love you guys! We would not be in this position right now if it weren't for all the prayers you've sent up to our very gracious God.

Saved by the Bell! One of the better episodes too! Okay, so I just showed my age and that I am a complete goober. (By the way, I thought the music video they made in that episode was pretty cool).

On a more serious note, you and Jeramie are wonderful parents. As parents there are times you will overreact. It is only later down the road that you realize you overreacted; however at the time you will be doing what is in the very best interest of your son.

Don't worry too much JoJo Worry Wart. Be excited for all the new firsts...Ethan's first bath at home, first look at Orphan Annie, first night in his new room, first snow fight in the backyard with Daddy...first trip to Target (YAY!), first trip to church!

Our prayers will continue for Ethan, you, and Jeramie even when you are at home. However, tomorrow, he will be praising God for bringing Ethan so far, through so many obstacles and challenges while providing comfort for you and your families through very difficult times.

We share your joy and excitement and praise the Lord for answered prayer. He will continue to provide just what you need when you need it. Trust Him. Tears came to my eyes as I got home tonight and Mom told me and Bart that Ethan was going home tomorrow. Pawpaw Rick had called to tell her. I rejoice with you and Jeramie at this wonderful moment of arriving home with your new baby. A day that you have both longed for, longer than most. God bless you all; my neice, my nepher, and my GREAT nephew Ethan. Wow... I love the sound of that!

Oh dear Joye and Jemerie, I feel like I know you and I'm never around you. It's amazing what a little baby can do. I do want you to know I check in daily to check on you guys and ya'll are constantly in prayer. We will continue to pray that all goes well and God will sustain you through the days ahead. Thank you for the constant updates. He is a precious and handsome little fellow and we hope to see you at the family reunion in July. By the way, being the computer illiterate person that I am, I just figured out how to leave a comment.LOL. Seems fitting that it was today, huh. We Love You and Hang in there

I've read about your faith in Christ, so remember one of bits of advice...REST IN HIM!
Love on little Ethan, lots! Remember that God gave Ethan to you, He knows that you are the best parents for him, even when you're not sure why, He does!

Blessings to you!
