Hello all! This is Mandy typing this update...Joye just called and gave me some more details and asked if I would type up a blog post because she just can't right now.
As soon as Joye hit publish on the last post Ethan's heart stopped. His heart stopped, he stopped breathing, and he coded. Joye said tons of people rushed into his room and started doing chest compressions and working on their little boy. She said it was all surreal and she just went out into the hallway and basically collapsed.
So now they are back in ICU and he is re-intubated. His heart is beating about 110-120 beats per minute but it is not pumping blood correctly through his little body. It is not functioning like it should. His doctor has been called and he is on his way up. They are planning to decide if they should put Ethan on an ECMO machine. This is basically a heart-lung bypass machine that would help give his heart a break.
They definitely think all of this is related to his issues from earlier today but there are a lot of questions of "why" right now.
That is about all they know. PLEASE keep praying for Ethan, Joye and Jeramie. They really need it tonight.
I will update or they will when they know more information.

I am praying for the Lord to touch Ethan, and keep him safe, and in His loving arms.
Lord, Show us your almighty hand in this... lead us out of this situation and into healing. We trust your strength and wait on your timing...we are leaning on you now and praying for healing. Lord in the meantime allow us to lift up our burdens on to you. Please do not allow us to be beaten here or swallowed up in fear. Your perfect love casts out fear and is enough. Make known your love tonight. we know all we need is in you. We praise your name.

praying for you guys and that those in charge of Ethan's care will be guided by our Master Physician to make the best decisions to heal him.
Mom also started the prayer chain at HRUMC for Ethan.
Lord, we pray for your strength and mighty healing on little Ethan. You know the ailment and we pray you will lead the doctors to the correct diagnosis and treatment. Please continue to be with Ethan and give Joye and Jeramie strength as they rely on You and Ethan's team of doctors. We pray for Ethan's heart that it will continue to function as it should and that You will guide him through the current situation. Thank you for the healing your have brought thus far, and we continue to believe in your Almighty, Healing hand.
My heart is breaking for you tonight... I am praying that God touch Ethan's little body and for you and jearmie to have a peace to know that God is in control and that he loves you and holds you in the palm of his hands, I pray for the doctors to have the wisdom they need to make the right choices for Ethan, we love you guys and will be praying all night!

You guys are in my prayers all the time but every moment I get I will try and say a prayer for Ethan's strength to fight this and for ya'll's strength as parents to make it through this and be there for each other and for Ethan. I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. Just remember God never gives us more then he knows we can handle!! Good Luck and I'm praying hard!!
